MARGIN PRODUCTS    NEW MODULE TO PURCHASE

In today’s portfolios, investments are made using multiple instrument types. The conventional strategies still invest largely in cash products like stocks, fixed income and mutual funds. An increasing number of investors, however, are using margin products like futures, CFDs, and FX to leverage or hedge their portfolios.

With the new version of eXimius, we’ve extended the ability to manage both cash and margin products in numerous ways.

Margin products are now fully supported in portfolio valuations, allocation compare, and rebalancing. Exposure values—Leverage Factors— are used in these components.

With this change, for example, it’s now possible to manage a portfolio holding stocks and a short future position to hedge the risk of market changes.

INVESTMENT PROPOSAL    ENHANCED FEATURE

You can now create investment proposals for prospective clients within eXimius. The workflow-based process kicks off with the invested and target amounts and horizon.

Using a questionnaire, you can calculate the risk profile of the new investments. From this profile, eXimius proposes a target list defined specifically for that profile.

To complete the workflow, a proposal is generated in PDF format that can be used in future communications with the prospect.

PORTAL    NEW FEATURE

The eXimius portal is a white-labeled website that can be used to give your clients online insights into their portfolio.

Because it is white-labeled, you can customise the portal with your company logo, identity, and style. The client can see his or her portfolio positions, transactions and performance, and also has the ability to generate a PDF report.

With version 5.5.4, you can also use authentication on the portal. The existing username/password authentication is still an option as well. When the authentication is used, your clients must receive a token to use in the logon process.

ALGORITHM ORDERS    NEW FEATURE

The new eXimius version introduces a feature that gives users better control over how orders are placed into the market.

Some markets have limited liquidity. As a result, the price of a stock, for example, is subject to the volume of the order.

Even for markets with sufficient liquidity, a large order might impact the price of the instrument.

To get around this limitation, you can now specify an algorithm like VWAP, Iceberg, etc. These algorithms are sent together with the order information to an external OMS or straight to the exchange.

IN-HOUSE FUND FACTSHEET    NEW FEATURE

The ability to manage mutual funds in eXimius is a way to package your investments in a single vehicle for your clients. Via these mutual funds, which are managed in house, the client’s positions exist outside of a mutual fund only, or in a combination of individual position like stocks, fixed income and a mutual fund positions.

However, it is interesting to see from a client’s perspective how the in-house mutual fund is invested, the performance and asset allocation.

With the eXimius 5.5.4, it’s now possible to include this information in reports you create for your clients.

On top of the reported position of the client, a separate page for each fund is added to the report. This additional page contains all relevant information of the fund, such as performance, asset allocation and top holdings of the fund.
